    Main Mission:

    The senior electromechanical technician is responsible for the
    installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators.
    They play a key role in training local staff and act as a technical leader
    within the company while ensuring compliance with the company’s Health, Safety,
    and Environmental (HSE) regulations.

    2. Responsibilities and Key Tasks:

    A. Maintenance and Troubleshooting

    • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel and gasoline
    generators.

    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
    according to manufacturer recommendations.

    • Carry out complex repairs on engines, alternators, cooling, and
    lubrication systems.

    • Ensure optimal tuning and performance of generators.

    • Conduct tests and operational checks after intervention.

    • Prepare detailed intervention reports.

    B. Installation and Commissioning

    • Participate in the installation of generators on-site while
    complying with technical and safety guidelines.

    • Perform electrical connections and commission the equipment.

    • Verify installation compliance with client specifications.

    C. Management and Monitoring

    • Plan and coordinate maintenance interventions with clients and
    the technical department.

    • Ensure the availability of spare parts necessary for
    interventions.

    • Train junior technicians and support their skill development.

    • Ensure compliance with work procedures and safety standards.

    • Serve as a technical leader, guiding local teams and training
    them in best practices.

    • Contribute to the development of technical solutions to improve
    equipment performance.

    D. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

    • Strictly apply the company’s HSE regulations and ensure their
    adherence on all work sites.

    • Raise awareness among local teams about best practices in safety
    and environmental protection.

    • Identify and report any potential risks to prevent incidents.

    • Properly use and ensure compliance with personal protective
    equipment (PPE).

    • Ensure responsible management of waste and fluids in accordance
    with local regulations and company standards.

    Profil
    recherché
     :

    Education:

    • Degree in electromechanics, industrial electricity, or mechanical
    engineering (minimum Bachelor’s degree).

    • Certification or specialized training in generators is an asset.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in generator maintenance
    and troubleshooting.

    • Experience with well-known generator companies such as FG Wilson,
    Caterpillar, SDMO, John Deere, or others is highly desired. This experience
    ensures familiarity with industry-leading standards and technologies.

    • Previous experience in the DRC or Africa is a significant
    advantage.

    Technical Skills:

    • Strong expertise in diesel engines, low voltage electrical
    systems, and automation (ATS, synchronization).

    • Deep knowledge of regulation systems and monitoring software.

    • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams.

    • Skills in welding and mechanical fitting are an advantage.

    • Proficiency in diagnostic tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.).

    Personal Attributes:

    • Ability to work independently and handle emergencies.

    • Customer service-oriented with excellent communication skills.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Rigorous, well-organized, and team-oriented.

    • Strong leadership abilities and experience in training local
    staff.

    • Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently to project
    sites.

    • Technical English proficiency is highly appreciated.

    Languages:

    • Fluent in French (mandatory).

    • English proficiency is strongly preferred.
